English in the digital age, the language of the world
In recent years, the advancement of the Digital Age and social networks together
with Social Media tools have created new professions not only for Millennials, but
for those people who did not have the economic resources to expand. This new
profession is called ‘influencer’, or in the case of users of the famous YouTube,
‘youtubers’.
These professionals have the ability to attract people depending on the content
they generate, but that not only stops there, based on the tool they use, they can
share all the information through WhatsApp, Instagram and all current digital
platforms.
In spite of everything, just as lawyers, doctors, engineers ... also specialize, these
‘influencers’ must expand their knowledge. Language is important. In the case of
Dominicans, who speak Spanish, learning English opens the window to the digital
world and international business.
“English is as key today as having a career was a few years ago, I say this
because people must already have, after their careers, a master's or
postgraduate degree in order to compete in the world of work, a professional
without mastery of this language and, especially general and business English,
is not prepared to compete in the local or international labor market ”, explains

who already speak the language.
